Charges dropped against alleged machete fighter

WEST JACKSON — Charges have been dropped against a man police say wielded a machete during a street fight earlier this month. According to Brejun Savage’s lawyer, his aggravated assault and possession of a deadly weapon charges were dropped during court on Thursday. The charges stemmed from a June 9 incident when investigators said Savage fought with two women outside an apartment on Hollywood Boulevard and tried to attack a man who tried to intervene with a machete.
