Fireworks sales increase heading into Fouth of July holiday
JACKSON, Tenn.- With July fourth now just one week away many local firework tents are getting busier. Fireworks City on the Chester-Madison County line said so far, sales are just starting to pick up and they expect to see a steady stream of customers through next Saturday. One employee said they use their specials to get people into the tent. Once they are in customers typically end up buying more. She said the weather this year will help sales too. “Hopefully better than last year. It’s a little moist and we don’t have a dry spell. no burn ban out right now, so hopefully sales will be, like great!,” said Mary Burns, an employee of Fireworks City. Burns said their most popular items are the big mortars and the smaller fireworks such as rockets and Roman candles.
