West Tennesseans consider “staycation” options
JACKSON, Tenn.- A gas prices reach record highs WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News talked with the Jackson Convention and Visitors Bureau about affordable fun in West Tennessee. The bureau said a lot of “staycations” in Jackson are easy to access and some are free. Some of their recommendations are the concerts at “The Amp” and live music on Thursday nights at Casey Jones Village. Another hidden treasure they said is Rusty’s TV and Movie Car Museum on Hollywood Drive. “There is so much to do in Tennessee and there’s so much to do especially here and even going to Memphis, I highly recommend Memphis especially with the reopening of the Civil Rights Museum, said Lori Nunnery, executive director of the Jackson Convention and Visitors Bureau. The concerts at “The Amp” are free. Another place they recommend is the Discovery Park of America in Union City.
