WEST JACKSON — If you’ve gone to Casey Jones Village this week, you’ve probably noticed a change in their appearance. That’s because the company renovated different sections of their store. The village held their open house this weekend where store owners showed off the new Old Country Store Dixie Cafe sign. The cafe features the Village Baker section, where customers can order wedding cakes and sweet goodies. Managers say the cafe’s new sign is historic. “It’s originally from a restaurant in Selmer, Tennessee that we acquired and required and restored,” Brooks Shaw said, restaurant General Manager. “And so we’re renaming this Old Country Store as Dixie Cafe to take out or dine in.” The village also had a director’s reception at the Casey Jones’ Home & Railroad Museum, free guided tours and an antique junk and yard sale.
