Jailer accused of theft, insurance fraud enters not guilty plea

MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — The Madison County jailer accused of lying about an on the job injury pleaded not guilty to her charges on Monday. Deputy Saundra Bundy, who was indicted on counts of insurance fraud and theft of property on June 30, appeared in court on Monday. Investigators said she lied when she reported in May she was injured while working at the Madison County jail. The 47-year-old has been suspended without pay and is currently out on a $2,500 bond. She is scheduled to return to court on Sept. 8 at 8 a.m.
