Arrest made in Chester County crime spree

CHESTER COUNTY, Tenn. — Chester County investigators say a crime spree that left farmers missing nearly $90,000 worth of equipment has been solved. Larry Polk, 33, was arrested in connection to a June crime spree and faces three counts of theft of property and one count of burglary. Some of the recovered items included lawn mowers, lawn equipment and vehicles. Although all of the stolen property has not been recovered yet, investigators tell WBBJ they are satisfied with the progress they made in this case. “It’s so easy swap property, get it sold, get it on down the road, and it’s hard to recover property,” Jason Crouse said, an investigator with the Chester Co. Sheriff’s Dept. “So anytime you recover any property, it’s satisfying. But to recover a large amount of property is very satisfying.” Polk will be in general sessions court on Friday. Investigators are still searching for some of the property.
