UT Martin camp teaches kids to make robots

NORTH JACKSON — A camp in North Jackson is teaching students how to build and program robots. On Tuesday, the University of Tennessee-Martin in Jackson held a robotics camp. The camp started on Monday, and boys and girls ages 5 through 7 and 8 to 10 learned how to build robots and program them through a computer. Camp instructors say the robot and its parts come from a Lego curriculum. Where the kids learn about science, engineering and technology. The camp lasts until Friday. Camp instructors say the students don’t get to take the robots home.
