Girl, 14, dies in watercraft crash on Boone Lake
BRISTOL, Tenn. (AP) – Authorities say a 14-year-old girl has died in a personal watercraft accident on Boone Lake in East Tennessee.
Matthew Cameron, an information coordinator with the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, says two personal watercrafts collided on the lake near Piney Flats on Friday afternoon.
Cameron says there were two occupants on one of the crafts, and the girl was alone on the second craft at the time of the collision.
Cameron says the girl who was killed was from Bristol. Her name was not released. The people who were riding the watercrafts were in the same family.
The agency is investigating the accident.
