Police: Woman took part in staged robbery from her job

WEST JACKSON — Police have arrested a woman after they say she helped stage a robbery at her workplace last month. Lacy Littleton, 20, has been charged with filing a false police report and felony theft. On June 27 just after 10 p.m., Littleton called police to report she had been robbed at gunpoint while working at the Days Inn on Hollywood Drive. Littleton told police an unidentified man with a gun demanded money and she complied. After a further probe, investigators realized Littleton had conspired with the man and coordinated the fake robbery. Littleton was arrested around 9 a.m. Tuesday and remains in custody at the Madison County Jail. She is scheduled to be arraigned via video link at 8 a.m. Wednesday in Jackson City Court.
