10th anniversary RIFA “Canstruction” is this weekend

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — The 10th anniversary of RIFA’s “Canstruction” will be held Saturday, Sept. 20 at the Carl Perkins Civic Center. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The “Canstruction” is an international event in which different teams design and build a structure made from canned foods. Teams will meet on Friday to build their structures, and on Saturday the civic center will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to view the structures. “An Evening with Miss Kay” is the main event on Saturday evening.
