TBI investigating death of Bledsoe detective
PIKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – Law enforcement officials say they have found the body of a sheriff’s detective in a rural area of East Tennessee.
The Bledsoe County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that the body of Detective Ricky Seals was found Tuesday morning on a dirt road in a field near Pikeville. Media report the death is being treated as a homicide.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has taken the lead on the case.
Agents were combing the scene near the body including a Jeep that was parked nearby. No other details were immediately available.
