CROCKETT COUNTY, Tenn. — Overnight thefts result in more than $50,000 in property missing after a tractor and gooseneck trailer are stolen. A 5083 John Deere tractor with a front-end loader, valued at $45,000, was taken sometimes between midnight and 7 a.m. Wednesday from Jim Rice Equipment on Highway 412 in Friendship, according to a release from the Crockett County Sheriff’s Office. During the same time frame, a 24-foot gooseneck trailer with a four-foot dovetail, worth $6,000, was taken from O’ Neil Trailer Company. Locks had been cut in both thefts, which leads investigators to believe the same person committed both, according to the release. Anyone with information is asked to contact the sheriff’s office at 731-696-2104.
