Bolivar General Hospital adds hospitalist to staff

BOLIVAR, Tenn. — Bolivar General Hospital has announced the addition of a new hospitalist program. Samuel Johnson Jr., M.D., will serve as the new hospitalist, according to a release from West Tennessee Healthcare. A hospitalist oversees the care of hospital patients and consults with primary care physicians as needed, according to the release. Johnson is a graduate of Emory University and completed his residency in Nashville, the release states.
