BENTON COUNTY, Tenn. — For a different Labor Day weekend activity, West Tennesseans are encouraged to check out a yard sale that stretches on for 830 miles. Every Labor Day weekend, yard sale connoisseurs are invited to peruse the deals of the Benton County Bargain Highway. Started in 1998, the annual event typically has 150 to 200 yard sales that participate in the road-side convention. “I think it’s great. The more the merrier, really,” vendor Daniel Flowers said. “The more people you got here, the more you’re going to sell, and so I think it’s a good idea.” The Benton County Bargain Highway stretches through Big Sandy, Camden and Holladay.
