Kids Hold 4th of July Parade
Thursday was a great day for a parade as kids, faculty and staff at a Jackson daycare took time to celebrate the nation’s birthday. Young children who attend First Baptist Church Daycare were all decked out in red, white and blue for Thursday’s Small Fry 4th of July Parade. Kids, ages four and under took to strollers and wagons, while some just walked through the parking lot of the church on North Highland in Jackson. Parents, grandparents and friends took it all in. “They need to understand the reason that we are so proud to be Americans and the reason we are so proud to be great,” said Tony Mayo, a parent. The 4th of July Parade is an annual event at the daycare that serves hundreds of kids in the Jackson area.
