Jackson Christian School hosted its second annual recycled art exhibition, Monday night. But the 110 art projects on display were not part of art calls, but science class. The 7th and 8th graders have been working on their projects, using all recycled, repurposed and reused items for the last two months It is an extra credit assignment that teachers hope shows students how to think in new ways. “I want them to know it’s exciting and it’s fun and it’s not just sitting in a classroom,” said science teacher Tami Myers. “It’s around you everyday and there is so many ways that you can use science in your real life and it applies to everything that we do everyday.” Myers said the winner of Monday’s art show will be announced Tuesday during school.
