Man Pleads Guilty in Crockett Co. Homicide

Tuesday an Alamo man pleaded guilty to killing his neighbor a year and a half ago. Court papers from Crockett County showed Kenny Evans, 31, pleaded guilty Tuesday to voluntary manslaughter and using a gun to commit the crime. As part of the deal, he was sentenced to just less than eight years in prison. In September 0f 2010, Tim Johnson, 27, was shot in the chest by Evans with a high caliber revolver. Officers said the two had argued right before the shooting.
