It is now official, Jackson’s tow hospitals have reached an agreement that ends a years-long battle over exclusivity for insurance carriers. Tuesday, the agreement was signed in Nashville in which Regional Hospital drops its push to repeal an exemption on anti-trust legislation in Nashville. Regional had argued, Jackson-Madison County General Hospital had a strong-hold on insurance coverage, by demanding network providers work exclusively with them. General is now dropping that stipulation for all new healthcare contracts.
