Jackson Career & Technology to be Closed Friday Due to Illness
Jackson Career and Technology Magnet Elementary will be closed Friday due to a large number of students being absent. School officials said a stomach virus is to blame for the number of absences. At last check, the JMCSS Central Office said there were 94 students absent by the end of school, Thursday. The school’s enrollment is 478 students, which means nearly 20% of the students were out today. JCT officials said they have been doing extra cleaning this week to try and stop the virus. Central Office personnel also brought additional disinfectant to the school for workers to use while cleaning.
