It’ ha been nearly nine months since Michael Brown was murdered in Humboldt. The family of the 21-year-old is renewing their plea for help, asking witnesses to come forward. Brown was gunned down June 16, 2011. Family members said they have contacted the TBI and America’s Most wanted desperately searching for who is responsible. They said they are no closer to finding out who is to blame. “I just want to know if there’s anything new. Has anybody come in and said anything,” said wife of Michael Brown, Patricia Brown. Every week Brown calls the Humboldt Police Department hoping officers are any closer to finding out who murdered her husband. “I try to call to make sure nothing new is happening or they haven’t figured anything out. if they go somebody in for questioning,” said Brown But her calls have brought no closure for her and her family. Nine months later and Humboldt Police said they have no new leads, no suspects, and have made no arrest. “I want to know. I want to be able to look that person in they eye and say what made you think you had the right,” said Brown. Michael Nelson Brown was murdered on a summer night in the 1300 block of Elliot Street. Patricia was pregnant with their third child at the time of Michael’s murder. While his two daughters will have memories of their father, their son will not. “He was so excited he was getting a boy,” said Brown. Patricia said her once happy home will never be the same now that she will have to raise their three children alone.
