Suspected Bank Robber Held for $120,000 Bond

A California man remains in jail after his arraignment earlier Monday for Friday’s robbery of the Regions Bank on North Parkway near the Highway 45 ByPass. Trung Huynh,, 37, was charged with aggravated robbery of the busy west Jackson bank. In court, he told the judge he had a previous arrest on grand theft auto. Police said he admitted his involvement of the crime. He is being held on a $200,000 bond and will return to court on May 3. Late Thursday morning, police said Huynh walked in to the bank and gave the teller a note that said he had a gun and wanted money. Minutes later, officers said Huynh walked into a nearby salon, 200 yards from the bank, carrying the bag full of money and asked for a hair cut or a taxi. He was arrested a short time later without incident.
