Carnathan Sentenced for McNairy Co. Bank Robbery

The Mississippi man accused of robbing a Selmer bank late last year, then losing the cash in a Tunica casino has been sentenced to three years in federal prison. Joseph Carnathan of Mooreville, Mississippi has been ordered to 36 months in prison in connection with the September 2011 heist. Court papers showed Carnathan stole $4,000 for the SouthBank branch in Selmer. The judge has also ordered him to repay all of the money once he is released.
