MCSD Responds to Report of Suspicious Package
Madison County Sheriff’s Deputies say a suspicious package reported at a Shell Station was not dangerous. Sheriff David Woolfork said that dispatchers received a call just after 11:00 a.m. Wednesday about the package at the Shell on Highway 45E near the Madison/Gibson County line. A suspicious package/brief case was reportedly found laying against pumps at the gas station. Investigators determined the package was a portable bar/drink mixer case. Crews did block off the parking lot of the business during the investigation.
