JFD Practices Grain Elevator Rescue
If you were driving down Royal Street in Jackson Wednesday afternoon, you might have wondered why there were so many fire trucks at the ADM plant. Fire officials said they were practicing the process normally used to rescue a person who is trapped on top of a grain elevator. Fire fighters told 7 Eyewitness News the drill was a n opportunity to practice a lifesaving technique that is not used often and they appreciated the plant allowing them to use their facility.
