Cities of Dyer and Bradford Issue Fireworks Bans

Bradford, Tenn. – In addition to the burn ban issued by the State Agriculture Commissioner for Gibson County, Dyer and Bradford have enacted a ban on fireworks in their city limits. The ban on fireworks in both cities will be in effect until further notice. Officials said the dry conditions and possibility of large grass fires make the use of fireworks particularly dangerous. The State Agriculture Office issued the burn ban for Gibson County, Friday. It applies to open-air burning including leaf and woody debris and construction burning, campfires, outdoor grills and other fire activity outside of municipalities where local ordinances apply.
