JSCC Expands to Crockett County
Getting a college education is getting a lot closer for more West Tennesseans, literally. Jackson State Community College announced a partnership with the Crocket County Higher Learning Center in Bells, that will allow students to take college classes through Jackson State without having to drive to the Jackson Campus. Leaders in Crockett County said it is an ideal situation that will make a college education easier to attain for West Tennesseans. (The partnership) is going to be an asset, particularly during this day and time when gas is so high,” said Catherine Via, director of Adult and Continuing Education. “But our smart lab is going to allow them to get an associates degree and even a bachelors degree through this facility without having to travel.” The classes will begin to be offered in Bells this fall.
