The sets have been built, the costumes sewn and some long nights have been put in by students at Freed-Hardeman University. All the work, rehearsal and effort is for this year’s production of the annual show called, ‘Makin’ Music.’ Social clubs of the Church of Christ affiliated school host the event with students from every aspect of the university working together to produce the numbers for the show. The clubs compete against each other in a performance lasting no longer than seven minutes. This year’s theme is “No Day Like Today.” “Music is just something that unites people whether or not their differences of any kind,” said Bryson Leach, a student organizer for ‘Makin’ Music.’ “Everyone agrees on the same kind of songs. so, something like that is a great way to show kids that music is a unity thing.” Makin’ Music 2011 will be at the Lloyd Auditorium Friday and Saturday.
