Two Teens Charged in South Jackson Thefts

Jackson Police have arrest6ed two teens in a rash of vandalism in Bemis and the South Industrial Park area. Monday, workers at first class flooring on Missouri Street, showed up to find an outside drink machine had been turned over. While employees at Apria Healthcare on South Highland found a fence around the employee parking area had been damaged as well. Several fire hydrants were also turned on, flooding streets. Plus, one of the city’s speed detection units was stolen from a sign post. Investigators said evidence led them to arrest and charge Charles Kirby, 18, and a 17-year-old juvenile. They each face 12 counts of theft over $1,000. Kirby remains jailed in lieu of $50,000. The 17-year-old has been place under house arrest.
