Jackson Fire Department: Single Car Crash Leaves One Child Injured
According to the Jackson Fire Department, a single car crash left one child injured early Sunday morning. Officials said the accident happened at around 8 a.m. Sunday morning at the intersection of Caldwell Road and Highway 18. Fire officials responded to the scene along the two lane highway in South Jackson. They told 7 Eyewitness News the driver crashed into a utility pole but was not injured. However, the Jackson Fire Department said one child was airlifted to the Med in Memphis. According to JFD, the child was restrained in a car seat. The child’s condition is unknown. Crews worked from Sunday morning until the afternoon to help restore power to residents in the are who lost in it as a result of the accident.
