Police Searching for Rapist

JACKSON, Tenn. – Police are searching for a man who reportedly raped a woman whose car had broken down. According to a news release, the alleged victim reported to officers that that around 8:30 p.m. Saturday, her car had stalled in the 400 block of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive. She got out of the car and opened the hood. A man approached her and offered to help. When the woman walked to the rear of the car to get something out of the trunk, she said the man grabbed her from behind and raped her. After the attack, the man ran away in an unknown direction. The woman described her attacker as a black man with a dark skin complexion. He was bald, 50 to 60-years-old, 6′ 1″ to 6′ 3″ and had a medium build. He also had a scar over his right eye and acne scars on his face.
