Update: Police Investigating East Jackson Shooting

JACKSON, Tenn. – Jackson police are looking for the alleged gunman in Saturday night’s shooting in East Jackson. Police said they are looking for Brandon Currie, 31. He is accused of shooting a 29-year-old Jackson man in Lincoln Courts around 9 p.m. Saturday. Officers told 7 Eyewitness News the man was shot near the entrance to Lincoln Courts – close to Labelle Street and Roosevelt Parkway. Investigators said the victim suffered gunshot wounds to the chest and groin. He is currently in stable condition at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital after undergoing surgery Saturday night. According to police, Currie is six feet tall and weighs about 160 pounds. He was last seen getting out of a bluish-green minivan prior to the shooting.
