Road Work Causes Phone and Internet Outage

JACKSON, Tenn.- If you have AT&T service and live in east Jackson, you may have experienced an internet or phone outage Friday morning. 7 Eyewitness News was told contract street crews for the city of Jackson hit a cable while working along Royal Street around 11, Thursday night. While an AT&T official could not confirm exactly how many customers were affected, they released a statement. “AT&T is aware of a service outage due to a cable that was damaged during road construction along North Royal Street in Jackson. AT&T is working diligently to restore service to impacted customers.”
