Player Airlifted from Medina Middle Football Game

MEDINA, Tenn. – A Medina Middle School football player is recovering from an injury that sent him to the hospital during Tuesday night’s football game. School officials told 7 Eyewitness News, the 8th grader was airlifted to LeBonheur Children’s Hospital as a precaution after he got hit in the back during the game, causing some numbness in his neck. It happened at the end of the third quarter. The game was delayed for more than an hour, and officials later decided to end it early. The player is expected to be released from the hospital Wednesday.
