Man Arrested After Claiming He’d Been Shot

LEXINGTON, Tenn. – A man claiming to be a shooting victim was arrested for a burglary, Wednesday. On September 14, Henderson County officials said Brandon Chambers, 22, was found by a THP officer in his car in a church parking lot in Chester County with a bloody hand. He reportedly told officers he had been shot, but was not sure where it happened. Investigators checked three possible locations given to them by Chambers but no evidence of a shooting was found. On the same day, Henderson County investigators said they responded to an attempted home break in where a window had been broken out with a large amount of blood on it. A witness identified Chambers as the person who broke the window. He was charged with attempted aggravated burglary and filing a false report. Chambers was taken to the Henderson County Jail.
