Old RIFA Building Demolished

JACKSON, Tenn.- The face of downtown Jackson is changing with the demolition of a building that once housed a ministry serving those who are down on their luck. The former home of the Regional Inter-Faith Association, or RIFA, at the corner of West College and North Highland in downtown was taken down, Wednesday. Two weeks ago RIFA relocated to its new location on Airways Boulevard. The demolition allows for new development of the new Jackson Walk area, which will include apartments, the LIFT Center and commercial space. The LIFT portion of the development is scheduled to open in January 2013.
