JACKSON, Tenn. – The iPhone 5 is now on store shelves and many iPhone fanatics waited patiently to get their hands on the newest model, Friday morning. Blake Morris was the first person in line at midnight. “I couldn’t wait. I couldn’t wait months after until they get new shipment in,” said Blake. For some, this was the first time they had ever camped out to buy anything. “I thought it would be neat to check out see what its about and like I said do something foolish I’ve never done before stand in line,” said Gary Yeleerton. Once the sun rose Friday morning, more people were standing in line at the AT&T store in the Columns. One father says he has never bought an iPhone before and his kids have been pushing him to update his phone for a while. “They keep telling me to get on board you need to get a 4S, but I was holding out waiting for this. Now, I can show them I got the iPhone 5,” said Lee Vanover. According to the iPhone 5 website the smart phone is supposed to be faster, slimmer and equipped with a bigger screen than the last release, the iPhone 4S.
