JMC Library Unveils Vision Plan

JACKSON, Tenn. – Workers with the Jackson-Madison County Library have set big sights for their library, and Thursday night they unveiled their new “Vision Plan” on what they are. Workers said they have been working on this plan since over the summer. The plan focuses on where they see the Jackson-Madison County Library in three to five years. They said the plan looks at ways to improve the library, and reach their patrons. “Not only the people who come in to check out books, but the children, and the parents that we do the children’s program for, so just encompassing the entire aspect of the library services,” said Elaine Christian, president of the Library Foundation Board. Officials said they plan to offer more types of programming the community will respond to. Tasks in their plan were divided between the library board, staff and volunteers.
