Lexington Fire, Home Considered Total Loss

LEXINGTON, Tenn.- An afternoon house fire in Lexington had firefighters working for hours to put out the blaze. It happened at the West Point subdivision. According to the Lexington Fire Department, the call came in just before 4 p.m. More than a dozen firefighters, along with crews from the Henderson County Fire Department responded. It took firefighters nearly three house to bring the blaze under control. Investigators believe the fire started in the kitchen. No one was home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported. The home is considered a total loss and the cause of the fire is being investigated.
