JACKSON, Tenn. – Three people are now charged in connection with a theft and shooting on Carolane Drive, Wednesday. According to a news release, Skylar Reeves, 21, Rasheka Sampson, 22, and Whitney Horne, 25, face several counts connected with the incident. Police believe a 13-year-old boy was walking down Carolane Dr. with an Xbox console when he was approached, robbed and shot at by a man and two women. Investigators said they found that Rasheka Sampson lives on Camalot Cove, which is near the site of the crime. She had previously reported to Jackson police that her Xbox was stolen during a September 18 residential burglary. Police said Sampson was driving her SUV and pulled up next to Jones on Carolane Dr. Her boyfriend, Skylar Reeves, and a friend, Whitney Horne, were reportedly in the SUV with her. Reeves allegedly got of the SUV with a gun and threatened the child. Sampson then reportedly took the Xbox from the victim and handed it to Horne. When the juvenile‘s aunt attempted to intervene, Reeves is accused of firing shots into the air and at the victim and his aunt. No one was struck by the bullets. Shortly after the incident, police arrested Sampson, Reeves and Horne. Officers said they also recovered the Xbox inside Sampson’s vehicle. Police checked the serial number on the Xbox and confirmed that it was not stolen from Sampson. However, police kept the Xbox and are trying to determine the rightful owner. Sampson and Horne were charged with aggravated robbery and theft of property. Reeves was charged with aggravated robbery, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and possession of a weapon during the commission of a dangerous felony. All three were arraigned Thursday morning in Jackson City Court. Sampson and Horne are being held on $75,000 bond and Reeves is being held on $150,000 bond at the Madison County Jail.
