West Tennesseans Play Kickball for Charity

JACKSON, Tenn. – It was evident Saturday that you do not have to be a kid to play kickball, as 10 teams of adults played in the Leaders Credit Union Charity Adult Coed Kickball Tournament. The event benefits the American Red Cross and Salvation Army Disaster Services. Organizers said they have raised about $4,000 so far between entry fees and donations. They said the goal of the event is to not just raise money, but have some fun. “The main thing is just a fun relationship between all these different groups of people and all,” said Marty Clements, tournament organizer. “We’re mixing them up, letting the teams interact together and all, and really to just come out and have a good time.”
