In a statement, Bethel Athletic Director Dale Kelley said, “We are in the fact gathering process at this time. Additionally, we understand the judicial process involving the matter has begun. It would be inappropriate at this time to comment further until both of these processes are complete.” The arresting officer said he stopped Britt after witnessing him swerve all over the road. He said once Britt was stopped he found an open container in his car. Britt was released after posting $1,500 bond, Sunday morning.
