WEAKLEY COUNTY, Tenn. – The Weakley County Sheriff’s Department responded to a 9-1-1 call around 2:30 a.m., Tuesday, from a woman claiming her husband had been shot in front of her home on Corinth Road. Investigators said the victim’s wife, Amber Plunk, later admitted placed a gun outside of her house knowing that her ex-husband Steven McMillin was waiting outside. Plunk told officers she then woke up her husband and told him to check outside for noises. That is when Plunk’s husband was shot. Neighbors say they are shocked something like this could happen. “It’s a quiet neighborhood. People mind their own business, and if you need anything you know where your neighbors are to help you.” says next door neighbor Dinah Foust Foust also says crime in this not the norm on this quiet street. Plunk’s husband is being treated at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville and is expected to recover.
