Generals Parent Club Farm System Ranked #2

Baseball America has released its annual rankings of minor league farm systems and number two on the list is the Seattle Mariners, parent club of the Jackson Generals. The ranking is a five place jump over last year‘s rankings. In 2012, Baseball America ranked the Jackson Generals as the best team in all of Minor League Baseball at the beginning of the season. Experts believe the high ranking was because the Mariners organization has some of the best young pitching and elite position talent in any farm system. Many of those prospects have proven themselves at the Double-A level or higher levels. The top organization in the rankings for 2013 was the St. Louis Cardinals.
