USJ Standout to Play Football at Sewanee

JACKSON, Tenn.- USJ football standout Powers Spencer has decided where he will go to college. Spencer signed his letter of intent to play for Sewanee: The University of the South. He was a 2012 Division II Mr. Football finalist and was named to the Division II-A and II-AA All-State team. He said he feels very fortunate to be able to continue playing at the collegiate level. “I learned not to take things for granted so that‘s just one thing I try to do in my life…and appreciate things.” Sewanee is an NCAA Division III school located just west of Chattanooga.
