Educator of the Week – Carroll
JACKSON, Tenn. – Originally a musician, Sandra Carroll never thought that she would find that all along she had a deep passion for children and education. “I love the interaction with the children and I was surprised I did not know myself,” she said. Now an educator for more than 30 years, she said watching her students grow year to year in their education is her favorite part of teaching. “I think sometimes I learn more from them then they learn from me but I do like to see them getting better academically, socially, growing as people.” This educator has high expectations for her students but said it is all because she cares. “I hope that they can look on this experience and realize they have become better at communicating both at writing, verbally with each other with authority figures because communication is important.” Her students excitement combined with her makes this educator confident in another successful year of fun and learning. “We’re gearing up for a great school year by being organized, prepared, and we’re ready to hit the ground running!,” she said.
