Man Pleads Guilty in 2012 Homicide on Campus of Lane College

JACKSON, Tenn.-A guilty plea is made in the 2012 deadly shooting on the campus of Lane College. Jeremy Jones, 20, pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter and sentenced to six years. Jones shot and killed Justin Clark, 21, on February 1 of last year. Police said the two friends had gone to the campus together. When Clark got into a fight, police said Jones fired, accidentally hitting his friend in the head. Jones will serve an additional seven years in prison on unrelated charges including aggravated assault.
