JACKSON, Tenn.- An unusual pedestrian hit and run happened Friday in midtown Jackson. It was not the driver who took off, but the person he says he hit.. It happened just before three this afternoon along North Highland Avenue near Roland Avenue. The driver said he was headed south when two guys ran out in front of him and said the pedestrian hit his windshield. “He hit the ground. He did a 360, hit the ground, laid on the ground for a minute and took off,” said Rodick Lyons, the driver of the car that was hit. Officers on the scene said they had looked for the person who was hit but had not been able to find him. At this point, the driver has not been cited.
