Three Killed in Brownsville Car Crash

Three are dead and two more are injured after a single car crash on Sunday night in Haywood County. The crash happened around 6 p.m. on Interstate 40 in Brownsville when the vehicle drifted from the road and collided with a tree. Three of the five passengers in the car were pronounced dead at the scene, including the driver, Thomas Davis Jr. Only one of the passengers in the car was not wearing her safety belt. The two survivors were airlifted to Lebonheur Children’s Hospital. It is unknown at this time whether drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.
