Chirssy Haslam took part in the United Way of West Tennessee’s women’s leadership First Ladies’ Luncheon Thursday. The fundraiser raised money for the organization while honoring the volunteer spirit of Tennessee. More than 250 people were in attendance and got to hear the keynote speaker Jackson-Madison County superintendent Dr. Verna D. Ruffin. The event was held in the Jack Morris Ballroom at the University of Memphis at noon. Table Sponsors included Jackson Energy Authority, The Bank of Jackson and The Jackson Sun. The vision of the Women’s Council is to energize and inspire women to make a difference through giving and to give voice to issues important to women and families in our neighborhoods.
