Army: OH58D Helicopters Could Be Eliminated Under Proposal
JACKSON, Tenn.- Tennessee could lose 30 OH58D helicopters under a proposed Army plan. The Army is planning to elimate the Kiowa Warrior helicopter from the Army inventory. Tennessee is the only National Guard state in the nation who flies these versatile reconnaissance aircraft used to target enemy locations in a wartime environment. The aircraft are assigned to the flight facilities in Alcoa and Jackson. The plan is only in the proposed stages. No dates have been set.
